User Commandments

Be kind. Follow the law. Leave the clones at the door.

Our commandments — house rules — are for everyone. They mostly involve being decent and staying inside the law. We try to be fair. If you disagree, other houses may suit you better.

Thou shalt

  • Respect other people and their work. Offensive, defamatory, or abusive material — or anything that breaks the terms — can be reported to report@useraudio.com.
  • Be creative with what you share or sell. Link to your own site or business if you want. Links back to useraudio.com are welcome too.
  • Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It still sounds golden because it is.

Thou shalt not

  • Upload work that is not yours, or that you do not have permission or legal rights to use. Questions belong on the copyright information page. Repeat breaks can suspend or close an account. “No infringement intended” means nothing. Either you have the rights or you do not. Accidental infringement is still infringement — learn the usual traps before you upload.
  • Be a jerk, a troll, a spammer, or a problem on purpose. Inappropriate behavior, comments, or content can get a warning, a time-out, a suspension, or a closed account — not necessarily in that order.
  • Pretend to be someone else. Do not use another person’s name — even politely, even as a tribute.
  • Ask for voice cloning, model training, or a soundalike of a living artist.

These rules may be updated. Check back now and then. If this house is not for you, there are others. We would rather be small and clear.

Sincerely, your UserAudio hosts.

Age labels — G, PG, PG-13, and M — live on their own page so a parent or a licensing board can read them without hunting.
